2018 Barolo, Rocche Costamagna, Piedmont, Italy

Rocche Costamagna is a small estate based in La Morra with holdings in some excellent vineyards, the prize being Rocche dell'Annunziata. This wine has multiple vineyard sources, including in La Morra and Verduno. The 2018 is a soft, lively expression with gentle tannins and decent concentration. This is drinking perfectly now but is also suitable for medium-term cellaring.
