2020 A Seara Castes Tintas, DO Ribeiro, Iria Otero Mazoy, Spain

Blend of Souson, Caino Tinto and Bracellao from an old vineyard in the hills of Ribeiro in northwestern Spain, just inland from the Atlantic coast. Iria works naturally and these grapes are all hand destemmed and foot crushed, then aged in huge concrete vats for 4 months and bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur added. Zippy red fruit and smokey crushed rocks with a silky lipsmacking finish. Nice with a little chill, but can go either way.
