Located in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, in the Côte de Beaune, the Domaine Alain Chavy was born in 2003, following the partition, between the two brothers Alain and Jean-Luis, of the land that once belonged to the family business Gérard Chavy et Fils. Today the estate extends over 6.5 hectares of vineyards, cultivated according to the Lutte Raisonnée criteria, a philosophy that limits the use of fertilizers and pesticides.

The Chardonnay grapes come from vineyards located in the Lieux-dit Les Charmes, at an altitude of about 200-350 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Puligny-Montrachet on the border with the area of the Meursault Premier Cru of the same name. The vines planted on soils rich in clay and limestone have an average age of about 30 years. The harvest is manual and fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The finished wine is then aged for 16 months in barriques.

The Puligny-Montrachet Les Charmes of Domaine Alain Chavy has a beautiful straw yellow color with golden reflections. The aromatic profile is complex with hints of stone fruit, melon, and apple, citrus notes and buttery nuances, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is elegant and full-bodied, with a rich character and a marked mineral vein. The finish is long and spicy. Try it with trout, veal or chicken Caesar Salad.
